The Acupuncturist

I am a nationally board-certified and licensed acupuncturist who is trained in Classical Five Element Acupuncture, a tradition within Chinese Medicine that focuses on nourishing the potential of each individual.  Through inviting openness and deeply listening to each patient, I customize treatments that address both physical symptoms and core constitutional imbalances.  I enjoy creating partnerships with my patients working together towards balance and greater vitality through coaching, nutritional therapy, herbs, cupping, gua sha, physical exercises, creative visualizations, sound/voice and somatic therapy.

I work with a wide range of health conditions, including chronic and recurrent pain, infertility, menopause, stress-related issues, autoimmune and degenerative disorders, trauma, emotional and mental health concerns. Always seeking to increase the tools I have available to me I am currently enrolled in the following programs:

  • A three year program at the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute, where I am deepening my ability to assist individuals suffering from trauma.
  • 200 Hour Yoga Teaching Training through Yoga Alliance Certified My Vinyasa Practice, formally bringing over 10 years of yogic study into a clinical setting.
  • The Yao Shan Chinese Herb Program with Evan Rabinowitz, strengthening my understanding of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

As a graduate of the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida, I received a Master of Acupuncture and a Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences.  I  also hold a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida.  An Alaskan resident for over 20 years, I love  exploring the mountains and rivers by hiking, biking, kayaking, ice skating, rock and ice climbing.
